The true ruler of Atlantis, Prince Valara is usurped by his advisor, Lord Gargan. When Chameleon is sent to the city, he imiatates the prince, and soon enjoys the luxury of being royalty, even to the point of being insubordinate with Lord Dragaunus. When Seige and a captured Wildwing are subsequently sent to find Chameleon, they discover the real prince, withered without his power, locked away in the dungeon. Rescued and restored to power, the true Prince Valara appears strong and healthy once again, even giving Wildwing a pep talk before they part ways.
