Hatched from a crystal fallen from outer-space, Baby is an adorable "intergalactic teddy bear" that the team can't help but love. Unfortunately, he has an insatiable appetite for the power sources in their gear, which it melts into goop and consumes. Soon it runs off and forms a cocoon, out of which hatches a much, much larger, vicious alien monster that leaves a trail of destruction in its wake. Only Nosedive, who had bonded with Baby in "teddy bear" form, can get through to this beast, focusing its rampage from wonton destruction to defeating the Saurian's latest scheme.
In the end, a reluctant Baby consumes a power source which has had its polarity inverted,reverting to its original crystal egg form, and the Ducks store the egg in their freezer to keep it from hatching once more.
